Ajmal Perfumes CEO Interview –
In High-Contrast Cinematic Black & White

Ajmal Perfumes sought a visually striking and elegant approach to capture the essence of their CEO, Abdulla Ajmal, in an exclusive interview. The goal was to reflect his vision behind The Untold Stories—a groundbreaking collection of fragrances born from unrestricted creativity. The challenge was to craft a film that matched the sophistication and individuality of the brand while maintaining a minimalist yet powerful aesthetic.

Our Approach

We chose a high-contrast black & white cinematography style to strip away distractions and focus entirely on light, shadow, and presence. Every frame was carefully composed to create an intimate yet bold visual language, allowing the CEO’s words to take center stage.

Production Process

To achieve this, we used the Blackmagic Ursa Mini 4.6K & Pyxis 6K with DZO Film Arles Primes, capturing the depth and texture of each moment. The lighting setup, featuring Aputure lights, was meticulously designed to carve out striking contrasts and enhance the cinematic impact. The interview was filmed at Stellar Studio Plus, providing the perfect controlled environment to execute our vision.

Optimized for Multi-Format Delivery

To ensure maximum flexibility for digital platforms, we shot in Open Gate, capturing the full sensor and preserving every detail. This approach allowed us to seamlessly resize the footage for both horizontal and vertical formats without significant cropping or quality loss. Whether for widescreen cinematic presentations or mobile-optimized vertical reels, the footage retains its full impact across all platforms.

The Outcome

The final film delivers a captivating, monochrome visual narrative that aligns with Ajmal Perfumes’ refined brand identity. Abdulla Ajmal’s insights on creativity and individuality resonate powerfully, amplified by the stark elegance of black-and-white cinematography. The result is a film that feels timeless—just like the fragrances it represents.
